I think I just understood the origin of an urban legend where some developer are allegedly 100 times more efficient than others!
It's because 10 developers are not 10 times more productive than 1. And in some case 1 developer can be as productive as 10, simply because the 10 developers can't find a smooth way to integrate their work!

Case in point, in our current project we had a smooth going team of 2. Since a new tech lead came, I think our team of 4 is overall 30% slower than our team of 2! Even after 4 month.. doesn't show any sign of improvements...

BTW, while I have a very low opinion of this tech lead, he is not the worse. He can even read and write C# and he seems like a decent person. His 2 problems are just:
1. he like to implement complex solution to non existent problems... WTF | :WTF:
2. It's his way or no way. And his way is better, there is no need to talk about it! Unsure | :~

[Edit]
Anyway, sometimes one can be right against many. Maybe he is right? But what is particularly painful is that he makes sure we all must use his meaningless patterns... To the extent he keeps refactoring other people's work...
At least, when I am innovative (in... any meaning of the word! Laugh | ), I don't force feed it to other people!!
My programming get away... The Blog...
DirectX for WinRT/C# since 2013!
Taking over the world since 1371!
