Carrie Davis-Sydor - Professional Profile

Carrie is Director of Marketing for CodeProject Solutions, and the Senior Product Manager of CodeProject.TV. She is a dynamic business builder with a specialty for getting people together behind a project. With 20 years of experience in project management, public relations and investor relations, Carrie has the drive, resources and perseverance to achieve success.
 
Her first venture into the technology field was in 1995, when she co-founded MCW Business Systems. In partnership with her father, she helped build MCW into a $20-million company before selling it in 2000. Since then, she has consulted many IT companies in project management and communications.

Carrie studied Fine Arts at McMaster, where she eventually completed an undergrad in Philosophy. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations. Strangely enough, these degrees landed her in technology, where she loves hanging out with other like-minded geeks. Her favourite Star Trek captain is Picard, and she holds a soft-spot in her heart for eighties hair bands. She is a mom, part-time princess, chef, social networker and avid runner.
