Where in Illinois do you live? I went to school at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for almost 6 years.

Effingham, which is at the junction of I-70 and I-57.
I had some buddies go to SIU from about '92-'95.

Cool! I know where Effingham is. I would take I-57 to drive down to Carbondale (from Chicago). Effingham was almost halfway through.
Sorry for the late reply. I haven't checked my email in a while.

Wow... It is truly a small world. My wife is from Oblong, IL. I'll be there in 9 days to visit the inlaws... what type of coding work is there in Effingham?
My code isn't buggy. Those are all fleatures.

Oblong is in my old high school conference. I played some basketball, baseball and track. I'm a little older than you are (probably your wife too), but she may know some of the guys I played against. I went to Cumberland H.S., I'm sure she knows where that is or has heard of it.

There isn't a lot of coding work. I work for Patterson Dental (formerly EagleSoft here in Effingham) and we write software for dental offices. There are some coding jobs around the area, but I'd say we probably have the largest number of programmers (about 20).
