Congratultions!
Decimal 11111 posts, not binary 11111 posts!
Binary 11111 posts would be only 31 decimal posts, while 11111 decimal posts are 10101101100111 binary posts...
By the way, this is my 649th decimal post, or my 1010001001th binary post. Thats a cool number, is has four separate 1s, and the three blocks of 0s have one, two and three digits. Ordered one, two, three, four, it would be post number 0.00.000.1111, decimal 15. So I need only 16 additional posts to reach 11111. Does it mean that 11111-649 equals 16?
hope I left a little bit of numeric confusion,
coco

Our thoughts are so similiar that it scares me. I don't see your posts often, but when I do they frighteningly (is that a word?) make sense.

I can almost say that too. My version, however, goes "No thanks, I'm eating home made..." I don't know about the nutritious part though. My lunch time sandwiches are now down to the minimum - a slice of ham, chicken or turkey between two slices of WeightWatcher's Brown bread.
Anyway, how's the weight doing? I'm slightly behind target - but if I can squeeze a couple of extra gym sessions in I'll probably get back on track in a couple of weeks.

Have you tried new recipes? I don't know about you, but I found cooking new dishes was very entertaining. It may however require extra time to do shopping and preparation, time which is often not abundantly available these days. But if you do have the time and don't mind messing around in the kitchen, then cooking can be very fun.

I'm 0.5kg heavier now than before I started. :woops: But I don't think it's fat. Sure, I've eaten thai food a couple of times, and some candy, but I've also been lifting weights a lot. I think I've gained muscle volume since I started, which is very easy to do in the beginning. A larger muscle volume can hold more water and other substances. I think that's the case anyway. (And it should be as I've been pounding every piece of muscle in this body 4 days a week + 3 days of recovery)

I think I have a little too. I'm doing more of a cardio workout rather than a weight training/muscle building workout so I'm mostly burning calories. I have noticed that the muscles in my arms are more pronounced than they used to be and my legs are probably more muscular as well (but I can't really see any difference there).
My plan is that once I start closing in on my ideal weight I might start looking at doing some exercises that are more aimed at muscle toning than weight reducing. However, I won't be looking at that until I hit the 80kg mark at least.

Why wait with the weight lifting? Here are some interesting facts:
1) Muscles require energy to function - more muscles requires more energy. So with more muscles your basal energy threshold rises. (Basal energy is the energy your body require in a non-active state)
2) After weight lifting, the muscles in your body are actually hurt on a microlevel. To repair the damages, energy is needed. Your body's energy consumtion rate is held on a steady high up to 18 hours after you've worked out. Compare that to cardio training after which the body is back to normal after about 5 hours.
If you spend 1.5 hrs at the gym, spend 45 minutes on lifting weights and 45 on cardio training. That combined with a diet plan (lots of carbs before training, lots of proteins after training, minimeals such as a banana every hour to avoid low sugar levels (low sugar levels is what makes your brain take control of your body and transport you to the nearest snack source)), I managed to drop from 115 kg to 77 kg in about 9 months.
Damn. I sound like an infomercial. Maybe I should get into Bill Sergio's business?

You need a half hour spiel for an infomercial. But don't worry if you've only got 5 minutes of material all you need to do is to repeat everything 6 times but in a different order. And if that sounds too repetative you can pad it out by getting a second person to inteject after every sentence with filler comments such as "Wow!", "That's amazing!", "It can do all that!", "You're giving away all this extra for free!" and so on.

Hey, can I ask?
Who is Bill Sergio?

Bill Sergio is a guy who is full of sh*t. Pardon my language! My biggest gripes with him is that he does not respect other people. If you disagree with him, he will attack you rather than your arguments, and he will do it in a very mean way. It's one thing if two people are having an argument, and it escalates into foul language. But that doesn't happen with Bill. He'll insult you right away, eventhough your argument wasn't even close to being offensive.
He has also proven himself to be a total jerk. I remember him being proud of having peed on a stone in Ireland. Now you think "what's so bad about that?" Well, it just happens that this stone is a part of a castle somewhere, which people are supposed to touch, and/or kiss. I really wish I could remember which stone and castle it is. Anyway, he thought he was pretty cool for having peed on this stone. If he really peed on the stone, he's a disgusting idiot. If he didn't, and just told us a lie to seem cool, he's an idiot. Both scenarios asserts that he's an idiot.
That's how I remember Bill.

MyXaml, Marc Clifton's .NET-child, gave me some inspirations when I was hacking a plugin for that framework. Unfortunately, daily work got a little hectic, so I never finished the plugin. Instead I had to finish a massive web application based on java/j2ee. I had written a GUI/Widget toolkit, similar to that of ASP.NET, a while ago, so I never had to deal with HTML directly (phew!). But it was still tedious to do GUIs. First you had to recompile and redeploy, and then wait for the webserver to compile the JSP-files. So, testing a simple change in the GUI layout could take as long as 30-40 seconds!
Marc Clifton and his MyXaml gave me the idea of a life time. I quickly adopted the general concepts in his framework, and churned out some chunks of Java code. While not as generalized as Marc's framework, my child turned out to be exactly what I needed. Now when I do GUI layouts, I have a turnaround time at about ~1 second. YES YES YES! And to top it off, this GUI technique allows the customer for whom I'm writing this, to customize the layout of the application itself, without having to program in Java. In fact, it's so easy that anyone with just half a brain, could modify the layout to their liking.
My job has become almost too easy now. And I have Marc Clifton to thank for it - I would never have thought of this until way too late.

Speaking of metal, I'm sure there's got to be some metal bands in SA. Got any names for me to look up? Any band name would do really. I'm curious of what SA has to offer musically besides Queen/Freddie Mercury.

I don't keep up and I forget names easily, but there is some good stuff here.
One I remember distinctly is Battery9 (pronounced Nege). Bit of electronic in it but cool stuff.
This compilation CD lists some names.
Barney Simon is South Africas metal expert, he is about the only radio DJ here who plays alternative and metal. His site will have some lists I am sure.

Ahh, I was trying to remember this one dance track the other day that I absolutely adore. It just came on the radio; Lost in Love by Legend B.
It is simple but quite sublime.
As for Faithless, if you have to choose one track it must be Salva Mae. Insomnia, God is a DJ, Tarantula and Take The Long Way Home are all good but Salva Mae is epic.
I also adored the short Crazy English Summer track from their Outrospective album. She sings "Fifty thousand miles from home" and my spine tingles. We come one from the same album, the one they chose to head the release and all the DJs played, I think is terribly overrated. Sure, it is a fine track but it never really kicks in, hovers on the edge and then backs away. Tarantula should have been that albums lead, but I guess it does not have the same catchy sellability of We come one.
Ok, ok, I am a big Faithless fan

You should try a band called Kosheen. Apparently they've been support band for Faithless. Ranges from drum'n'bass to dance in style. Nice strong female vocals.
Also, the latest Delerium album is right up your alley if you enjoy Faithless.
