GeneralManaged DirectX Fire (FireMDX) Pin
Thursday, May 13, 2004 4:24 AM
Here's something I've been playing with on the side, a basic dynamically calculated fire algorithm using C# and DirectDraw wrapped into a screen saver. It's not quite finished yet (still some issues with the in-window preview and I've yet to code the config screen), but the basic display works. I'll publish the source (and maybe write an article) when I get around to finishing it.

(if you want the unfinished source code, drop me an email and I'll be glad to send it to you).

Cheers,

Lee.

If you like war games, especially Napoleonic era, then check out a little game I wrote in my spare time:

and if you have kids, you might like the following colouring program I wrote for my younger ones:

Feel free to register!! Smile | :)

Both written in C#/WinForms as an exercise in bringing my fat-client WinForms skills up to speed (mostly been C#/ASP.NET based, before that ASP/COM/ATL/C++) - man, fat clients (or rather the politically correct smart clients) are much simpler than my MFC/C++ days. Wink | ;-)
