Hey toxcct,
I just want to say, I'm sorry for all the confusion we had in the aspnet message board. But I must say I wasn't wrong with the answer I gave to that user, but I shouldn't have replied to your answer, that's for sure.
I checked the answer on the ADO.NET / SQL board, and I saw it was a cross-post, I shoud have checked in that other board before answering.
Colin Angus gave the exact same answer that I did, because what the user needed was to execute several queries in one round trip to the database server.
So may be my answer wasn't well explained, but it did go in the right direction.
I don't mean to make trouble, but I want to state that even though I shouldn't have replied to your answer, there was no need to answer "what's this crap?" and treat others as if they don't know.

yeah, you're right... sorry for the point sir, here is my point of view.
i actually said that because i understood the question another way.
i thought that the guy was asking for a one query that could update several records at the same time... (and there, i mean within the same query...)
that's why i answered him that it wasn't possible.
the reason then i told you that "what's this crap?" is because of 2 things.
the 1st one is of course because of my understanding of the question.
the 2nd was because of your explanation and your english.
but now, it's ok ; i understand the point, and i appology for the "insult".
there's no problem, i'm not angry against you, don't worry
