It seems he's fixed the formatting which was the major issue. His download link isn't working, but assuming the code's alright when he's fixed that, it should be good to go.
[Edit] Download now working [/Edit]
DaveBTW, in software, hope and pray is not a viable strategy. (Luc Pattyn) Visual Basic is not used by normal people so we're not covering it here. (Uncyclopedia) Why are you using VB6? Do you hate yourself? (Christian Graus)

Apart from the formatting and how to use HTML to get the article where it ought it ought to be,
a big help would be to explain that the CAL is IBM technology called Rational Clearcase. Rational Clearcase can be downloaded on a trial basis to integrate with Visual Studio, but a retail copy costs $4,600. To get the code to work as an automation library in C#, he would have to explain how this CAL would act as a COM Callable Wrapper to reside between COM and the managed code. The strongest way to do that (in my limited knowledge) is to write a CCW of your own in native C++. The framework also provdides a CCW in its infrastructure to map COM pointers to references to objects. As we all know, those objects can be moved around by the GC. The Framework provided CCW also keeps track of a COM component's reference count; when it reaches, it is then transfered for GC.
I can understand the attempt he has chosen is a difficult undertaking.

While the article is in progress, double-check your code block tags, and use spaces
after the pre tags. Try not to use bulleted list HTML when itemizing the order of your steps,
and try to avoid using header tags to portray a numerical, itemized list. You defined what the CAL was
very effectively, but you did not state exactly what your project was. You are using managed code
and interoping it COM APIs from IBM with the goal of automating an application. If that is your
stated goal, then, (in my limited knowledge), try to explain how CAL will reconcile the managed world
with that of the unmanaged COM world in order to write code enhance programmability. Explain how reference counting and pointers are seen on the .NET platform as managed code or objects that need be GC'd. I must admit, you have taken on a difficult task, and your first article does
define CAL effectively. Best of luck to you.

I recently received constructive criticism about portaying too much code. I must agree with that assertion and will modify that article. In fact, the article is a perfect example of how not to write an article. I apologize about adding too much Power Threading library code in my article that was meant to describe simplifying the APM.

This user's article seems to have been approved already, but he says he would like a mentor again.
Google Earth in your Windows form[^]
I also wanted to thank all the mentors for their efforts, and a special thank you to Nick for mentoring Hitesh's first article. The article is now entered into two monthly competitions, including overall article.
Thanks for making a huge difference all, it's amazing.

I think more exposure of the mentor group and its role may help in getting more authors to take advantage of the skills in this group.
One of reasons I see to article reviews, from an author's point of view, as unattractive is some may believe that the review process is slow and could end up significantly altering the author's original words and sample code.
Maybe we could post anonymized examples of before and after articles to make it easier for authors to see the benefits of having their articles reviewed by one or some of us. I think better revision tracking would also help, and make it clear to authors that their acceptance of revisions is completely up to them.
What do you think?
Also, is there any way to get an email from CP whenever someone posts a new top-level message so that we can quickly see if we have the time, interest, or skillset to take on a particular article (instead of having to check the forum directly)?

No. Let me do that first, then I will proposed some suggestion to him to update the article.

I don't think I can give you rights for that without giving you "too many rights." My tools aren't complex enough.
Which means it has to go through a process, and other people - discussion, implementation ...
For now, at least, let me format it, and we'll go from there.

But, Boss. I guess, it was there few times back. Means, If I have asigned to any article, I get the link for Modify of that article. Is there any thing change in process ?

We considered this but decided against it. Mentors are meant to guide and offer suggestions - not get drawn into being editors.
Now if you wanted to become a volunteer editor...
