Ø Yippee new office Smile | :) by Sumal.V
The day starting with Monday blues, sleepy eyes, long queue at the bus stop but as soon as I stepped into my new office, felt good I must say its beautiful. Still smelling of paint, new carpet and echoes everywhere.
Just settled down now after unpacking my stuff and just placed my tiny little globe on my desk, making sure I face India.
But ironically, October 12th is my last day here, I will be going back to India
My inner self has lots of questions about my decision. But somewhere in my heart I know things will be fine.
After all its my country

Ø It is rainy day in Mumbai by Sanjay K. Gupta

Ø Great stuff by indian football team by vijay6
Yes it was a Great stuff by the indian football team yesterday as they beat cameroon , a side which is almost 100 ranks ahead of us(indian team) and we won the nehru cup for the third successive time.
I was all glued to the match and really could see lot of improvement in our football team especially in passing the ball ,tackling ,maintaining posession and mainly grabbing the ball from the opponent.Offcourse the new dutch coach Wim koverman and our captain chetri played a crucial role in it.One could really hope that atlast indian football team is going in a right direction.Sure the time for india to qualify for football world cup isnt that far.

The mind is but the subtle part of the body. You must retain great strength in your mind and words.
Be a hero. Always say, “I have no fear.” Tell this to everyone—“Have no fear.”

2 1 million... by Mehdi Gholam
fastJSON has reached a 1 million page view milestone since Feb'11.
What started as a personal need, has grown far beyond my expectation, and is heart warming to know that people value optimizations in space and time and hopefully product vendors will get this message too.
I would like to thank everyone who tested, reviewed, suggested ideas and coded in this project, the list is long… (you know who you are )
I would also like to thank Chris Maunder and the CodeProject team for providing the platform for this to happen.
Thanks to all, and weep heee!

The answer, (as Tom Lawton obviously knows well), is Manuducent.

Anyone up for the solution?

Ø Done it, Solved a problem that was bugging me! [modified] by glennPattonWork
I feel a mixed sense of Joy, Trepidation & Fear as I have solved a problem that was bugging me over the weekend. Joy that it is fixed, Trepidation that it might not be and might not need to be & Fear that it isn't. When I got the darn thing fixed with help from PIEBALDconsult & Manfred R. Bihy (thank you very much!) and discovered another bug which I solved this morning. I am now testing it as much as I can to ensure the bugs are gone (also a set of cables has turned up for some reversed SMA connectors to be fitted I hate those things!)
Dang Nabbit spotted a bug!!

Ø How Do Carpenters Do It? by Roger Wright
I've seen a gazillion wood fences with gates that line up top and bottom perfectly, but I've never been able to achieve this myself. This weekend I rebuilt part of my wind-destroyed fence, and I painstakingly measured and cut, and selected the best lumber available, to make a perfect gate. But once well hung on a perfect post, the outer edges were 6" out of plumb!
How the hell can this happen? It was assembled flat, on a level concrete surface, and showed no inclination to lift a corner once assembled. Yet here it hangs, the top aligned perfectly with its opposite fence, and the bottom jutting out 6" sideways! It's extremely aggravating, and to make matters worse, my pizza delivery was an hour late. In the vain hope of rectifying the problem, I've closed the gate with the top aligned, then using two lengths of steel angle and a 'C' clamp, brought the lower ends into alignment. I plan to let it soak in the daytime sun at 105°F+ in the hope that it will straighten itself out. I don't know what else to do.
Any ideas?

Two philosophers were sitting at a restaurant, discussing whether or not there was a difference between misfortune and disaster.
“There is most certainly a difference,” said one. “If the cook suddenly died and we couldn’t have our dinner that would be a misfortune __ but certainly not a disaster. On the other hand, if a cruise ship carrying the Congress was to sink in the middle of the ocean, that would be a disaster __ but by no stretch of the imagination would it be a misfortune
