Well I don't do any moderating here now to be honest (unless there is spam, but we haven't had spam here in months now). Abhinav is a little different though and he does edit/moderate/overview content here consistently. I am more of a freedom of speech kinda guy
Can I exercise that right and call you "Lord of the Morals who stands for the light in his life which is fulfilled by his destiny which is to teach everyone the way to GIT and be enlightened" Nish?
Can I?!!! I can right?
While batting, these days he is giving entry at the least expected time
With Newzealand at Chennai, when everybody expected Rohit to come, he came and yesterday when all are expecting Yuvi he gave entry.
And my foot, they have rested Sehawag and Zaher as if they played 10 matches. They should be buring their fat yesterday to come back to form.
With all these nonsense stratergies,it would be miracle (or bookies) if India made to next stage
I favour SouthAfrica this time as their coach is Gary Kirsten
Two matches were scheduled to be played today. There were forecast of some rain but we got two full games today.
Match #9: New Zealand v Pakistan
This was the first match of Pakistan in the tournament. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first.
Pakistan: 177/6 (20 overs)
New Zealand: 164/9 (20 overs)
MOM: Nasir Jamshed (for his 56(35))
Pakistan started a little slow but kept their wickets intact. Slowly they geared up and scored freely. Hafeez made a cautious 40+ and Jasmshed a classical 50+ score. At one time, it looked like they will be close to 200 but New Zealand pulled things back at the end.
New Zealand started their chase with a new pair - Nicol & Williamson. It was a slow chase but McCullum and Taylor kept the hopes alive till second last over. Once Taylor was out, it was just a matter of picking up tail and end the match. Pakistan won their first match but they still need to make sure that they don't get defeated by Bangladesh by big margin in order to advance into super 8.
Match #10: England v India
Though it was dead match (as the result would not affect either of the teams since both are already into Super 8's and no points are being carried into Super 8), there was lots of energy in the game, commentators and spectators. England won the toss and put India into bat.
MOM: Harbhajan Singh (for his 4-2-12-4)
India had a good start with Gambhir and Kohli scoring at good rate. Even after their wicket fell, Rohit Sharma showed his elegance and stroke making scoring a quick fire 50. England bowlers did not look as fiery as they were against the minnow Afghanistan (or may be India nullified it to a good extent that they did not even tried 6th bowler). England started their chase with quick wickets! They were still handling pace well but once spinners came into play, wickets tumbled. India outplayed England in every department. An easy win for India at the end. Apart from gaining some confidence and getting to top the group, India moves to Super 8's and so does England.
Finally, the current standing of the member participants in CPFL T20WC12.
PompeBhai still trying to be back at top position but has couple of new threats nearing him! India's playing XI and the order in which Dhoni sent his players to bat had an effect in FL too. Ankur slipped back to 7. Abhinav is playing good but unable to convert his starts into big 100's.
This was aired in the survey before the tournament and you have met expectations.

I see you are already all set for the left 2 matches with players full of WI & Pak in your team
Yes no choice, I still have difficulty getting to update team. Couldn't update before the ENgvInd game yesterday(although it didn't make a difference as the changes I would have made wouldn't have done well anyway.)

If I remeber from the ODI WC having lots of players from one team doesn't really help you, the best way to play is to pick a couple of players and make them choices good.

It was a hell lot of pressure! (Expectations does do that!) Phew.

Well, after yesterdays game, I wasted my 4 change (once again followed heart and not head!) for almost 0 points! Looks to me, whoever missed changing for the game were actually benefited. Good for you, you missed.

Agree. But if you have too many players, it just increases your probability to score more. No doubt, among lots of them, you would definitely pick those two who you would have picked in case transfer was limited.

Well I put my players in the day before, I would have added Dernbach only and maybe Dhoni, I only missed on changing my Captain, which would have been Yuvraj, who scored 0 yesterday(is that right?).

I agree, but I will also have players who don't score well(they can't all score). I would have done better using my transfers earlier. Watson for example, I didn't include him in the second game because I would have needed to make two changes in order to afford him. In hindsight that cost would have been worth it.
