I don't mean to be disrespectful (that's why I'm not posting it on the discussion board), but when I try to use the C code, it takes me hours and hours to translate, and it never seems to work.
 
I see many similarities, but the "devil is in the detail", and it takes DAYS to get it to work, with the nuances of each language.
Very interesting, but what exactly is your problem? The example you linked to is in C# which is as close to VB.NET as you can get. I suggest you try Googling to see if there are any tools which could do the conversion for you.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.
