What's New in this Release?
The latest version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET (7.4.0) has been released. In this release, we have introduced many new features. A new feature to manipulate watermarks or artifacts in PDF document has been introduced and now you can also count the number of watermarks of a particular type in a PDF document. Some further details regarding this feature can be found over at working with existing watermarks. A highly demanded feature, setting form fields fonts to other than the 14 core fonts, has been implemented. With this new release, any font present in FontRepository can be set as the default font for form fields. In earlier releases, the PdfExtractor was used to extract images defined in resources. With this release, we’ve added another approach to extract images in the system: ImagePlacementAbsorber. dtSearch’s Proprietary Filters Cover a Wide Range of Online and Offline Data Types
Bethesda, MD (Oct. 23, 2012) - dtSearch Corp., a leading supplier of enterprise and developer text retrieval software along with document filters, announces Version 7.70 of the dtSearch product line. The release improves the document filters embedded across the entire dtSearch product line. For customers in need of data parsing, conversion and extraction only, the dtSearch Engine APIs (native 64-bit/32-bit, Win/Linux C++, Java and .NET through 4.x) also offers the document filters for separate OEM licensing.
Document Filters. dtSearch’s proprietary document filters support a broad range of data types:
• “Office” documents: MS Office, OpenOffice, RTF, PDF, etc
• Emails: MS Exchange, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc., all with nested attachments
• Compression formats: ZIP, RAR, GZIP/TAR, etc.
• Web-ready data (including image and text support): HTML, XML/XSL and PDF—all including integrated image and text support
• Dynamic data (including image and text support): PHP, ASP.NET, SharePoint, etc.
• Databases: SQL including BLOB data (through the dtSearch Engine APIs), MS Access, XBASE, XML, CSV, etc.
The document filters support parsing of all of the above data types as well as text extraction and/or conversion to HTML as required for browser display with highlighted hits.
Embedded Image and Other Enhancements. The new version extends the document filters to add image support to Word (.doc/.docx), PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx), Excel, (.xls/.xlsx), Access (.mdb/accdb), RTF, and email files including Thunderbird (mbox/.eml), and Outlook (.pst/.msg) files. The release displays these formats showing highlighted hits in context with both text and now images. The release also adds support for Japanese Ichitaro documents.
Multi-Level Nested File Enhancements. The release also increases support for documents and images in multi-level nested configurations. For example, the new version supports not only viewing images in an email file, but also images in a PowerPoint embedded in a Word document attached as a zipped file to an email message. A new “object extraction” API lets developers navigate through the structure of each embedded object as a hierarchy, and optionally extract each object.
Spider. The Spider works with local and remote, static and dynamic web content. Hit-highlighted searching can span any level of site depth, across any number of public and private or secure sites, including support for log-ins and forms-based authentication. The Spider is built into the dtSearch product line, and accessible through a .NET API for programmers.
Terabyte Indexer. dtSearch enterprise and developer products can index over a terabyte of text in a single index, spanning directories, databases, online data, and emails. The products can create an unlimited number of indexes, and simultaneously search them. Indexed search time is typically less than a second, even across terabytes of data. Online indexed searching operates in a “stateless” environment, supporting unlimited concurrent search threads.
Search Options. The dtSearch product line includes 25+ full-text and fielded data search types, including special forensics search options. dtSearch products offer federated or distributed searching with integrated relevancy ranking across any number of different data repositories. The dtSearch Engine APIs also support faceted searching and other advanced data classification objects.
International Language Support. dtSearch products support all Unicode languages, including both right-to-left languages, and special Chinese/Japanese/Korean character options.

• Github Access Token: Click on this link to get the token. This is the unique token generated using Github Auto token generation process, that allows the CodePorting application to get permission from your github account for commiting changes to the Github.
Once you configured the CodePorting C#2Java service hook, you have to remember two important things.
1. If you change anything in the source repository CodePorting C#2Java service hook will be triggered
2. The CodePorting C#2Java service hook will create a project in your CodePorting account. So if your subscription allows only one project then you have to delete the existing project for triggering the porting process.

We are pleased to announce that Google Drive Storage is now integrated with Saaspose File Format REST APIs. You can integrate your current Google Drive account with Saaspose cloud API. You can configure the Google Drive storage with Saaspose through our web interface in no time. Firstly, you need to create an application at Google Drive and get the “Cilent ID” and “Client secret”. Then sign in at Saaspose and open “My Storage”, select “Google Drive Storage” from “Create New Storage” list on Saaspose.
On “Create Google Drive Storage” page, provide the required data in the fields. You need to provide “Cilent ID” and “Client secret”, and then click “Generate Token” to fill in rest of the fields. Now save the form and enjoy using Google Drive storage with Saaspose API. Saaspose file format APIs offer a variety of features that you can use in your applications. You can easily access the files uploaded on Google Drive storage and process the documents in the cloud. You can upload your document including MS word documents and extract text, extract images, execute mail merge or add watermarks using Saaspose.Words API. Saaspose APIs allow you to work with different file formats such as .doc, PDF, xls, xlsx, jpeg, tiff, png etc. With integration of 3rd party platforms with Saapose APIs, you can continue using services of external storage providers and keep your files with other storage provides. Sessions will explore how software developers can minimize the complexity of creating applications in OSGi and resolve common OSGi development issues
Palo Alto, CA – October 18, 2012 – OSGi, the dynamic modular system for Java, specifies an architecture for developing loosely coupled, dynamic, component-based enterprise applications. Building a Modular Server Platform with OSGi
This session will explore real-world approaches and lessons learned from the development of WSO2 Carbon, a free and open-source componentized middleware platform based on OSGi (http://wso2.com/products/carbon). The session also will discuss and demonstrate how to:
* Ensure that each component has a core-runtime, a clean service-oriented architecture (SOA) interface, and a front-end console, which are self-containing OSGi bundles.
* Use declarative services to extend the functionality of components in a consistent manner.
* Integrate third-party libraries, such as Apache Axis2 and Apache Tomcat, by wrapping them as Orbit bundles.
* Employ a “feature” concept to assemble components.
* Create a plug-in extension for Apache Maven to automatically generate OSGi features, feature categories, and P2 repositories with the Maven build tool.

This session will begin with an introduction to the class-loading architecture in OSGi. Additionally, the session will explain how to diagnose and resolve some common OSGi problems. These will range from simple errors, such as ClassNotFoundException and NoClassDefFoundError to more challenging problems, including ClassCast exceptions and loader constraint violations.

What's New in this Release?
The long awaited version of Aspose.Pdf for Java 3.3.0 has been released. This release provides a better and enhanced XML to PDF conversion feature. In this release, the image transformation engine has been rewritten and is based on ImageIO. The main benefit of the new engine is better support for different image formats and from now on, Aspose.Pdf for Java should work faster due to optimized operations with images. Besides this, we also have resolved the issues related to image to PDF conversion and XML transformation to PDF format. Below is the list of main improved features and bug fixes added in this release
- Specify TextInfo value against the Table object instead of defining it against its individual cell items
- Formatting issues are resolved in resultant PDFgenerated from HTML file
- When using IsHtmlTagSupported in XML file, the contents are now appearing
- Improved loading Image contents form Byte array and place them inside PDF
- Now can open image file error is occurring is fixed when converting TIFF to PDF
- When opening resultant PDF file, Insufficient data for an image error message is appearing and is now fixed
- PNG appearance issue is fixed in Adobe Reader when converted to PDF format
- Image is not appearing in resultant PDF
- FootNotes are appearing as un-sequential when rendered into PDF format
- EndNote is not appearing in resultant PDF when generated from XML
- When setting IsHtmlTagSupported to True, only first segment of Text object is displayed

What's new in the version 2012.2?
Two new products for mobile devices Stimulsoft Reports.WinRT and Stimulsoft Reports.Mobile are not a part of the Stimulsoft Reports line, but are included in the All-in-One solution Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate. Built on HTML5 (Stimulsoft Reports.Mobile) and WinRT (Stimulsoft Reports.WinRT) technology, products have an outstanding set of tools to design reports. Products are used by developers who are involved in creating business applications for tablet PC's, smartphones, and need to process and perform data in a better way. Set of controls allows designing complex reports.
In the Stimulsoft Reports products three new types of financial charts are added. These are Funnel, Candlestick and Stock. The Funnel is used to display the dynamics of reducing stocks; the Candlestick is used to display financial information; the Stock can be used to display stock data.
The Stimulsoft team conducted extensive testing of all of reporting tools under Windows 8, Visual Studio 2012 and .NET 4.5. Identified issues were fixed and now all of our components are ready to work in the new environment!
The developers of Stimulsoft proudly say that they added support for WCF technology in the report viewer and designer for WPF. Installation pack of Stimulsoft Reports samples which show how to implement support for WCF.
The list of supported new UI themes in the Silverlight version of Stimulsoft Reports was expanded. New themes similar to Office 2013 are added. They are available for all interface items of Stimulsoft Reports.Silverlight version.

Fiorano Adapters enhance interoperability with a wide variety of applications and technologies. Auditing support has been provided for the Alert Repository. Peer servers can now be labeled as development, QA, staging or production, enabling the creation of dynamic deployment rules to fine-tune access to Fiorano Peer servers across the network. Significant productivity enhancements have also been added to the Fiorano ESB eStudio tools.
These enhancements enable more productive SOA deployments with incremental ROI on new and existing IT Investments.

You can merge multiple PDF files into a single document using Saaspose.PDF REST API. All you need to do is upload all the input files on Saaspose Storage and execute this feature. Once the files are merged, you can download the merged PDF file from Saaspose Storage. Similarly, you can append multiple PDF files using Saaspose.Pdf REST API in your applications. You can also append PDF files by specifying the page ranges i.e. start and end ranges of the document. You can quickly merge several PDF documents into a single PDF file and share it across any platform. What’s new in this release?
The long awaited version of Aspose.Cells for Java 7.3.2 has been released. In this release we have added support for copying sparklines between workbooks. We also made an important enhancement regarding obtaining the offset of the right-bottom corner of a given shape. Users can now set the default color of the worksheet tab. Moreover, several important customer issues have been rectified. Many important issues with reading and writing Microsoft Excel files, manipulating charts and exporting to PDF have been resolved in this release. We have also made an enhancement, so that you can close internal streams to release memory resources in PDF conversion and boost performance. This release includes plenty of improved features and bug fixes as listed below
- Shape.getRight()/getBottom() to get an offset of the shape from the right-bottom corner to the cell
- Set worksheet tab color to default color
- Close internal streams for releasing memory resources in PDF conversion
- Copy Sparklines when copying worksheet
- Saving PDF caused Exception is now fixed
- Opening an empty XML file caused an exception is now fixed

Saaspose development team is very happy to announce the Dropbox Storage Integration with Saaspose File Format REST API. Previously, we had introduced support for Amazon S3 storage to integrate your existing Amazon S3 account with Saaspose cloud API. Saaspose has added the flexibility of third party storage options so that you can choose from these as per your requirements. We are pleased to announce that Saaspose has provided support for Dropbox storage to store your files in the cloud. You can easily configure the Dropbox storage with Saaspose through simple steps in no time. First of all, you need to create an application at Dropbox and get the “App Key” and “App Secret”. Then sign in at Saaspose and Open “My Storage”, select “Dropbox Storage” from “Create New Storage” list on Saaspose. It takes you to “Create Dropbox Storage” where you need to provide the required data in the fields. Once you provide the “App Key” and “App Secret”, click “Generate Token” to fill in rest of the fields. Now save the form and enjoy using Dropbox storage with Saaspose API.
You can perform multiple operations on your files through the useful features powered by Saaspose File Format APIs. The files uploaded on Dropbox storage can be accessed easily and you can process the files accordingly. What’s new in this release?
We are pleased to announce the release of Aspose.Email for .NET 2.2.0. This release includes new features, enhancements to existing features and resolution of reported issues, such as support for Exchange impersonation, retrieving a specific number of messages from a PST, checking a PST for password protection, generating occurrences from recurrence patterns and auto-setting the dimensions of a TIFF image. Saaspose API SDK Updates

The 2012 Duke's Choice Award Winners have been announced by Oracle in advance of the world’s largest Java event - the JavaOne Conference in San Francisco, CA. You can also work with child bookmarks in a PDF file using Saaspose.Pdf REST API. You can get the count of child bookmarks in a PDF file. You can also get child bookmark count for selected parent in PDF using Saaspose.Pdf REST API in your applications. You can utilize our SDK and REST examples to manage bookmarks in PDF files in the cloud. One-day technical workshop on October 11, will examine best practices for optimizing enterprise application integration using an ESB model

In a one-day workshop for IT architects and developers, WSO2 will explore how to successfully implement a service broker pattern for connectivity, mediation, process orchestration, and security with an ESB model.

The Role of an ESB within an SOA
The workshop is designed for IT architects and developers seeking to obtain a high-level architectural understanding of how ESBs fit within an SOA.
