Given that you know already the NAME and VALUE of the data to be written to the cookie,
Its not so difficult to check the length of the data (to be written) including the name and then subtract that from the maximum size allowable for the cookie and then you will know EXACTLY how space you have remaining (in the cookie) to work with.
I have this CheckBoxList control and to each ListItem of it, have set the Text property to the img HTML tag so it displays an image.
I am trying to remove the tick/check box from the checkboxes of a ASP.NET CheckBoxList control when i click on each item.
My code does this. Every time i click on some check box, the **SelectedIndexChanged** event fires up and it does some saving of some data in my database. And when the saving is done and the page is refreshed i want to check/tick box of the checkbox item that was clicked not to be there anymore and the checkbox to be disabled cause i don't want the user to able able to click it again. I have tried to tried to set the Enable and Selected properties to False, and also add an attribute to the CheckboxList control, but without success. Here is my code.
We are in the process of developing an inventory tracking system and one part of this system is the automation of the Change of Location (COL) form. We have the database developed; we have the electronic form developed; we are now at a halt because we need this web service inorderto move forward.
1We are in need of a web service to transmit information between Sharepoint and an Infopath form.
2.We will set up your web service as a data connection and work with the form through this connection

I use VS2010. When I try to add WCF service to my project and rebuild the solution, I receive COMPILATION error "object reference not set to an instance of an object" Without WCF service everything looks fine.
Then you must be doing something to that pure service before compilation and after add it to solution.
Or you have compilation service in entirely different place.
That what I can say without more info.
Are you asking about using the enter button to submit a form?
If so, you have to wrap the area in a panel, and set the panels default button ID for submit. Then the content in that area, if the cursor is in the textbox, will fire the assigned button. If the cursor is not in a element within the panel, nothing will fire.

The challenge I face now, is that it should be possible to construct a page based on a xml-setup file. The page design is luckily quite simple. It´s basically a vertical page with controls on top of each other.
My question is, should I create and insert these controls from codebehind, that means asp.net controls?
I don't know about your xml idea, still thinking about that, actually I don't get it.
But on the latter question, It's a balance between time to create, and functionality. I personally don't like the Microsoft Ajax toolkit, and I'm stopped using it completely now, replacing it with jquery.
Thanks alot for your answer.
My challenge is a little different though. What I meant with the xml thing, is that the whole site has a setup file, which defines the controls on the page. Like this:
<PageSetup><ControlType="TextBox"CssClass="test"PageOrder="1"Text="Default text in the textbox"/><ControlType="Drowdown"CssClass="dropdownClass"PageOrder="2"><Itemtext="Dropdown item 1"Value="1000"/><Itemtext="Dropdown item 2"Value="2000"/></Control>
Hope that clearifies it a bit
I´ve started the project, and chosen to avoid the asp.net controls. So right now I build a long html string from codebehind, bases on the xml settings, and inject it on the page with jquery.
Any better idea?
Thanks alot for your time!
