BugArticle always stays unfinishedmemberRobert Hoffmann10 Dec '12 - 6:02
Just went through a nice cycle of publish, pending, article unfinished, publish, pending, article unfinished.. Confused |

The "do not publish" checkbox was unchecked.

At my last go i saw the save draft / delete draft button on the side and decided to give delete draft a try.

Yep 5mins later the article was online Thumbs Up |

So it seems like something fishy is going on with draft & publish ? Shouldn't the draft become the final version when you

1) Uncheck do not publish
2) Check accept terms
3) Click preview
4) Click publish

or am i missing something ?

Thanks,
Robert

Sounds like a bug, probably a database issue caused by load. It should (and does, almost all the time) work as you expected.

BugArticle Vote Count IncorrectprotectorAspDotNetDev6 Dec '12 - 14:17
Note that I'm talking about votes, not reputation. Wink | ;)

See this screenshot of me hovering my mouse over the 5-vote bar on my article. It says I have two 5-votes, though I have 70 votes total. I'm pretty sure in actuality about 60+ of those are 5-votes.

I'm guessing htis is related to your reputation sytem woes, but thought it significantly different enough to mention.

Yes, this was an unfortunate bug we fixed a week or so ago. I think I know a way to recover the records of the missing votes but it's not 100% guaranteed.

Hi,
For me, I think the total number of votes is accurate but when you count all votes(5,4,3,..) it is wrong!!! I mean, for instance, the total number is 15, and when I count votes it is 19! For total 15 is accurate I think but some extra votes are reported in the small chart beside the total number!

Thanks
I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.

I got the same problem. If I look at the voting graph all votes are there. It's just the summary that seems to be wrong. Maybe you just need to recalculate all summaries?
GeneralRe: Article Vote Count IncorrectmemberKjellKod.cc14 Dec '12 - 9:45
It seems that both the voting graph and the summary can be touched by this bug.

For me one article has the voting graph all wrong it says
2 votes on 4. 2 votes on 5
While the summary says 33 votes. (and they should be mostly on 4 and 5)

On the other articles the summary seem wrong
For example 23 votes on the summary but 67 votes if I hover the 5-vote column.

So it seems both are jinxed. I can provide snapshots if you need them.

Cheers
Kjell

I would like to see the ability to up-vote someone in the Lounge or other forums. I wouldn't put the down-vote option back in the general forums, serves no effective purpose really.

Our members post some great stuff and I would like to let them and the community know without necessarily writing about it every time.

I have seen this method of up-voting done on other sites and it seems to work well.

If you were performing an experiment with the voting here, you can stop now. Smile | :)

Thanks.

Oh, look - it's been three threads since someone last mentioned the voting/reputation points issues. Must be time to complain about it again! Hmmm | :|
