Yes, I have also started to ignore test cricket when India is playing. I used to watch tours to WI, RSA, AUS, NZL earlier during the nights. But now, I am happy that I was busy for the past few weeks and fortunate enough not to hear the live updates even though I am on IST.
Tell me again if India is in the race for number 1 spot, I might start to see, or tell me that was a good fight, I might watch the highlights.
Defeats are not depressing but negligence and lack of fighting spirit are(at the moment all of the above are attributed to Indian team).
The master of the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which; he simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.
I was sick of the whole "let-them-come-here-and-then-we'll-see" sabre-rattling even before it backfired on us. A good team wins everywhere, not just at home. Now, with us losing at home, it seems we are not even an ordinary team.

Much that I hate to watch India loose, I would say that this and the past series against England have been very well played by England.
They have really put some thought into their game. India, on the other hand, have been totally lacking in spirit and motivation.
It appears they have lost all interest to continue playing test cricket.
A classic example is the one where Gambhir ran out Sehwag. They have played together for years, both for India and Delhi and yet one ran out the other.
England's preparation has been good and execution phenomenal.
They are still not the best, but are close, very close to challenging South Africa.
To make the English "gloat" even more, I think they are better than Australia and will beat them comfortably.
Really? We are already have one bowler batting, once you get Swann the rest aren't going to contribute much, I think we will be all out for 530-540, I think 700 is being extremely generous and would require Swann getting a century!
No I didn't, if you remove pujara's contribution we would have lost that as well in similar fashion. Now in the third match you are contesting with a very low on confidence team. Shouldnt be too tough.
India have called up new players. Not sure if these new bowlers will cause us problems, you could answer that for me? But all in all I think you will get Cook out early and win quite comfortably, by 7-8 wickets, maybe even an innings.
Not sure if these new bowlers will cause us problems
Not by much. They basically didn't remove the ones which is more required. anyway I beleive you might see one new fast bowler in next match and I doubt that he will made much difference but yeah may be better than Zak.
As far as yuvraj replacement is concerned we have jadeja which you already in other formats. He is in good form in domestic cricket but won't be the same in tests.

And that itself doesn't look like happening with the kind of form he is in. and in the last match we even had trott making some runs who was mostly off color.
And we will not the get the replacement also unless we take another guy replacing him. If you see his performance this year it is far below than his usual good. What is use of carrying him if he is not performing.
I'd say take young bowlers and even if they fail initially, persist with the promising ones. It's rare to have a bowler bowling at top form from his first test. Exceptions were bowlers like Kumble, Waqar, and Akram.
Correct. And we do will get some good options. Umesh yadav looked good till now. Only problem with the pacers are the injuries. We are not good there.
This anyway happens whenever a very successful persons retire. It looks initially that it will never be same again. But eventually we move and get the replacement. Remember when Gavaskar and Kapil retired we will never be able to recover and it we did.
