I have tried to evaluate the objective “Make a living writing” as a Blogger or a Freelancer. From this specific perspective, I feel a person has to develop following qualities/competence.
1. A person needs to choose specific field of global interest or subjects for writing ‘Article’. 2. Comprehensive study to be made on the specific subjects chosen. 3. The contents of ‘Article’ should be unique & capable enough to draw the attention of the huge customers for whom the article has been written. 4. The ‘Article’ should be written in powerful & lucid language which can meet the expectation of all types of customers. 5. The person needs to develop his conceptual/knowledge base on the chosen subject through continuous study/research to keep himself updated for providing feedback to the client.
Interesting, but it is not really a question that anyone can answer for you. The only way to make a living from writing is to write. And that is not something that can easily be taught, it is largely a matter of ability. You also need to choose a subject that is likely to appeal to a wide readership. If you are thinking of writing technical books then you need to choose a subject that has not already been covered extensively. You also need to read the existing books to ensure that you are not just duplicating what is already available.
I find basic similarity between your latest remark on the subject and my last reply. Your rich profile establishes the fact that you are a professional as a programmer. So as an expert, you can confidently write creative article in the related field which can easily draw the attention of interested client/readers. I’m a professional in shipping. I have obtained this professionalism through working in the field for long time. I have developed website on shipping: <http://www.linershipping24.blogspot.com/ & inviting you to visit my website and offer your comments. From above, we may agree on the basic principle that one must acquire basic knowledge and expertise before writing or contributing on any topics of interest.
As a professional in IT field, you have the capability to express your conscious views on any issue/topic. Would appreciate if you visit my website and offer your views on the overall design and interface of the site.
I would add to what been mention here, to have sales skills, which can help with the 'make a leaving' part. I know plenty of very skillful writers which can't make a leaving and a bunch of mediocre ones who can. The difference focusing mainly of how well they sold themselves and networked with people. So when their skills were needed people knew to contact them
Well, after first looking at your post I would consider grammar to me of utmost importance. I would also suggest writing for the country you are from. Most people I have outsourced to don't know of the subtle nuances that come from the USA. The same would be true if I were to write for another country. My American accent wouldn't sound quite right.
I am stuck. Website (business) is now created and we have very few users for the site. It was developed to help the freelance community and employers on outsourcing work. But it seems if you are not registered with one of the big boys then you remain unseen.
Is there a way to avoid the obvious i.e. not getting further than GO!?
The best method will be to present a mixture of both. Create content that is interesting and holds the interest of your users. Case studies, industry news, organization news, research can form great content. Then you need to take this content among your target audience via Social Media, blogging platforms or article directories.
To promote your site, you have rank your site through SEO service. In addition you have explore your business and services to targeted audience through impressive and quality content.
By the way, while writing article or using social medias try to convey your service and new implementation in your products rather than promoting by using your company history and all.
Hope you get some idea..All the best for your business.
Hi...my cousin wants to start his own business in the field of property and all. What are the things he need to consider before starting his business and how can he increase his sales after the establishment of the business. Appreciate your suggestions.
This is a forum centered around software development so I would recommend finding a forum that deals with what your cousin is interested in. Each field of business has its own unique issues so you'll get a better answer if you focus on which group you discuss this with.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
There are various on-line tutorials available at the world wide web. In on-line marketing you can generate great results through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Try with implementing quality content to your website.
PPC is "Pay Per Click" and CPC is "Cost Per Click". These are terms related to SEM which is "Search Engine Marketing". Combine this with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and you have a good, solid online marketing strategy for your website and/or business.
Search engine marketing is tweaking content and curating links to get your product appearing in search engine results. PPC is a payment model for companies looking to get clicks on their sites, and CPC is a metric of how much it costs per click.

No you don't. SEO is important if you engage in SEM, but SEM is such a small, small part of a solid online marketing strategy. In fact SEM is only a tool, one of many you should use, and so could be part of a strategy, but a strategy also includes things like understanding your audience, the market, your competitors and your product. (I add the last one because I speak to too many marketing departments that don't actually understand their product).
