Well your feeling is similar to the Media here(that Dhoni is struggling) but they still think he is a good player. IMO opinion too I think he is good, I would rather have him in our ODI/T20 team than Kieswetter. But I think Prior is a better test Batsman than Dhoni.
Is media sharing that Dhoni has super contacts and powerful?
No. To be honest I am lost when I read comments on here about Dhoni being all-powerful and that there are two camps etc, none of that gets reported here. There is very little about the India team unless they are playing England, and even then the coverage is about form rather than politics. Which is a shame as it sounds interesting what I'm picking up from you guys.
Not sure of camps but based on the small details every now and then does make it quite evident.
They are(were now ) there. One was headed by Sehwag and supported by Gambhir, Ishant, mishra and few others. But now when Sehwag is be left out of the team you can understand that what will happen to this.
That's my point. Take the Captaincy away from him and he can concentrate on Batting/WK, that way you get a better Dhoni with a weight of his mind and he can take the pressure of some of the youngsters coming through by Batting well.
Well MoM awards are always a subjective choice and historically it's been in favor of batsmen over bowlers even when it was very obviously a bowler's performance that won a game. So I would not read too much into this.
Yeah, but again it was never based on actual win-loss determining factors, it was nearly always a subjective personal preference based pick. So in my opinion it's a meangless statistic. Like getting the Filmfare award for best actor
