I published my first CP article as part 1 of two-part series based on the same material which is available for download in part 1. Since I have part 2 already prepared and ready for submission page, what would be the best way to add the same links to part 2? I presume there is a better way than just upload files from part 1 again?

Hi Igor,
I'm afraid not. You could put a link in part 2 that recommended readers to go back to part 1 to download the files there, but other than that, each article is standalone for uploading files.

I was just about to put links in article 2 with URLs of actual download links from article 1 in CP submission form. Are you saying that it will not work?

Is there some requirement to be able to view the "Articles needing approval" section (besides being signed in)?
One of my friends has an account and can't view this section.

Yes.
People above certain reputation only can view and vote for an article to be published. Further, it takes 5 votes for an article to get approved.

In addition to Sandeep, you need to be a Silver author (if you're a Silver author, you've more than 1000 author reputation points).

Hi All,
When someone searching an article, is there any priority order to display "Article", Tip/Trick/ Technical Blog, Video?
I wrote few technical blogs and Tip/Tricks. What I noticed is, Technical blog viewing priority is higher than Tip/Trick.
And Also, In "My Article" section,for the technical blog it display following information in the list
Posted:|Updated:|Views:|Rating:|Votes:|Popularity:
But the Tip/Tricks it display only following
Posted:|Updated:|Rating:|Votes:|Popularity:
"Views" are missing, are there any reason for this?

Hi Tharaka,
You can change how you wish to sort things by the dropdown menu on the left. There are a number of factors that go into Relevance sorting. Popularity is a big factor, but not the only one. Where an item shows up is a case really on a by case basis, but Tips and Tricks should be slightly weighted higher than Technical Blog entries.
Currently we are not showing views for Tips and Tricks.

The article (and others from the same author) has been deleted yesterday for some reason. Maybe someone else here knows why.
However, it is still in the Google cache. So you have the chance to read it for some more time.

dear all
i try to learn ado.net so i start with an article how to build database using ado+access and vb.net and think this article is compatible with visual studio 2005 not 2010 which i have so some error i face like

i tray to read the first record from access data base

Dear CP Admins,
I've submitted an article (503571) and it has been "closed" after peer review.
I then do again my edit in response to the peer comment and submit it again. After that, I found my article shows as "Pending" in the Revision page; while it still shows "Closed" when I open the article in edit mode again.
I would like to know what actually the current status is of my article? Thanks.

However, the download source link is not working?? I checked from the Update Article and the source is there but the link to download the source only refreshes the article page itself.
Any insights??

Take a look at the HTML source of your article (e.g. use Ctrl+U with Mozilla browsers). The href is 'sourcecode' but it must be the path and name of the zip file.
You may correct it yourself if you know the path or ask one of the editors here to do it for you.
