I was also going back and forth on this article. At one point I thought it was some kind of hoax/prank because of the wiggling cat ears also sold by the company selling MindWave (not ears for a cat, but for a person to wear - I still think that part has to be a joke). I don't want to post the link, but if you Google "necomimi", you will see what I mean.
However, the most frightening thing in the article has to be the instruction at the end that makes me think about the neuralizer from Men in Black:

My guess is that he has done so with no intention of any kind. Just didn't know what to write in his profile, so he cut and pasted his resume. I sent him a private email, and I believe he will fix that.
