Instead of forcing a comment, have a check list of standard reasons, like so:

At this point, I don't think that's even possible. 
However some would say I have because the last item didn't include the work "f*ckin'" (mellowed for our overly sensitive audience that are worried about whether their next set of man panties should be yellow or pink and include a little lace").

My vote of 1:

In my opinion I prefer to receive some negative votes without explanation from time to time, than to have overrated contributions and messages overall just because there is people wanting to remain unknown if they downvote, so they just don't vote or give a 3 instead a 1.
Other aspect are vote-wars.

Creating HTML tables with JavaScript/DOM methods[^]
First of all, it must not be an Article. At max,its Tip/Trick. Even i personally don't consider it as Tip/Trick because it is very very basic that you create xyz elements with HTML. He only wrote few lines about insertrow and insertcell.

Unfortunately I'm not keen at all on Textile. I've used it before and found it not as intuitive as Markdown without the power of HTML. It sort of falls in between usefulness and ease and doesn't really provide enough of either for my tastes.
It's also not guaranteed to address the dozens of subtle issues that plague every other markdown style implementation.

I've used Python Markdown[^] with IronPython before, would something like that work? It doesn't seem to have many of the issues plaguing you guys. And it supports syntax highlighting through Pygments[^], which supports over 300 languages (full list[^])

Pygments is good but ours handles nested languages (eg ASP.NET with C#, CSS and Javascript) way, way better.

I often use copy/paste in the editor to reorder what I'm writing or to generate several lines of similar code. In those cases I almost always want paste as is. When I'm pasting from somewhere else, I generally do want to quote; meaning I'm always having to mouse to the side of the screen to pick the right one. IS something like this doable:

messageEditorCopiedText = selectedText;
}
OnTextPastedIntoMessageEditor(pastedText) {
if (pastedText == selectedText)
InsertUsingDefaultForTextFromEditor();
} else {
InsertUsingDefualtForExternalText();
}
}
Only, you know, being valid javascript and doing whatever other stuff you have scripted to copy/paste already still in place.

Exactly (for me anyway). I want you to implement DWIM[^] on the forums. I also want a pony. You'll have it ready all ready by the time I leave to go home tonight, right? 
I was originally thinking in terms of a separate picker though. It's not how I use it, but if you took the laziest way to make me happen I wouldn't be surprised to see a post from someone complaining that he couldn't slap code into a code block after editing it by doing a copy/paste.
