Tons of new stuff

Source: The Code Project     Posted by Chris Maunder    Wednesday, July 26, 2000 6:00pm
The inbox is full, the weather icy. Perfect conditions for a flood of new stuff.

There has been a ton of new articles posted over the weekend. I've received a heap of submissions from you guys - thank you! Expect more stuff from Mike Dunn, XicoLoko, Norm Almond, David Peterson, and Yuriy Zaporozhets just to name a few. There is even an update of my venerable grid for those who have been patient. For those that have sent in emails, submissions, complaints and glowing praise, but are wondering why I've not yet returned your mail, then think "15 hours in economy class in a 747". I'm back in cold, frosty Canberra and will be spending the next few days working through the in-tray. I will be installing the .NET preview on my box next week, so if there are any further screen shot requests then post them here. The interview questions have been sent to Lon Fisher of Microsoft. We'll hopefully have his view on the world posted within the next week or so. The last couple of weeks saw the server upgraded to Windows 2000 and SQL Server 7. Many of the databases are using tried and true Access (believe it or not) but as the weeks go by all systems will be upgraded. There will unfortunately be some downtime as we fine tune the server and integrate new systems. Thanks for everyone's patience with the site over the last 3 weeks. PDC, visits to various parts of the US and server upgrades have played havoc with CodeProject, but it will be all worth it. Trust me! :)
