Government relaxes export restrictions

There were reports that the Japanese government was ready to slap export restrictions on the PlayStation. The units advanced graphics processing capabilities are so great that there were fears it could be used for military purposes. (see the story at GameSpot). Latest media reports state that these restrictions have been relaxed so the new consoles are ready to roll - woohoo! In a related story Sega will unveil a plan to giveaway their dreamcast consoles as part of their high speed internet service.
