How to design an application (plugin) like HollywoodFX. need the guidance

Will someone help me in finding the guidance to make an application like "HOLLYWOOD FX".

This is a plugin software which is helpful to add special effects for video editing.
This is containing a 3D object handling environmenr, timeline for a small animations, image importing, 3d objects from Lightwave format importing.

Now i would like to design a new software like it. i had a knowledge on some programming languages but not on handling the 3d objects, layers etcc.,

So could some one help me with some guidance to find the right path to move on.

Solution 1

In my opinion you need knowledge in order to start programmatically manipulating 3D objects, that is you need to read a good book on 3D programming.

This question is far too broad to be answered in a Quick Answers forum. You say you have some knowledge of progamming languages, but which ones, and how much knowledge? Are they likely to be the right ones for such a project? Do you have any knowledge of image processing by computer? And many more questions that you need to address before starting on such a project. You first step should be to paste some of those questions into Google and start doing some basic research.
