Charset of VC

MY PC region is Russian.
First the language region of my pc is china and i develop the project on this region, and the project setting is "_MBCS" on "C/C++" tab. Then i change the language region the language region to russian. After i use GetWindowText() of the textbox to get text, i wirte the text to a .txt file. I found the charset is not russian charset, but .txt file show the right russian char, in fact the code of the text is not right. Can you tell me which is the charset?

Solution 1

Look at "Properties"->"Configuration Properties"->"General"->"Character Set". There are "Use Multi-Byte Character Set", "Use Unicode Character Set" and "Not Set". I think you will find the answer.
