i am not able to connect sql server 2008 Db in VS 2005.

i am trying to create a crystal report. when i tried to connect a sql server 2008 DB in VS 2005 . I am getting following error .

"This server version is not supported . You must have microsoft sql server 2005 beta2 or later ."



i found this following link in google , but i am not able to install this patch .
Please help me to resolve this issue .

installation error :-

"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
