I have an edit box on a dialog in which I'm simulating the nine Word-like types of text justification (top-left, top-centre, top-right, middle-left, middle-centre...etc.). For fixed text, this is working quite well using the number of lines, the text height and EM_SETRECT.

However there are problems when trying to edit - particularly with the bottom alignments, since you've severely reduced the the formatting rectangle. Does anyone have any idea how to handle this? Is there a way to keep the alignment and allow 'live' editing at the same time?

I've tried removing the alignment and restoring it for the edit process, but the setfocus and killfocus messages seem to be unreliable.
