I have to develop a software that monitors and records internet activities for individual devices (Computers using windows 7/8 OS) within a workplace(40-50 computers).

I need help and suggestions on how to develop this, any APIs or source could if available would help a lot.

Why not simply use existing tools ?

We have an existing tool to track time of employees at a workplace. We need to integrate it with the time tracking tool so we can automatically record and measure how employees are using their time and on what sites they are visiting during the time they are working.

Even "Big Brother" tools exit on internet.

Yes I totally agree. I am a developer, have small startup company. Client demands it and specifically mentions that he wants it this way. So have to do it. :)

I guess some of them are open source.
