Which is better to develop MVC

Dear Friends,

I am learning mvc concepts in c# .net. I saw some tutorials there is 2 methods used in CRUD operations.
1. BusinessLayer ie, using class library, and
2. Entity Framework

Now a days developers which concepts are using. which concept i want to learn.

What I have tried:

It will be always best approach to go with latest technology. Go with Entity Framework
