Create 2007 word Macro

Hi macro masters,

can anyone provide me a line of code that will do some validations as stated below

1. In the doc file allow the user to select\highlight a text.
2. User will select a style. example Date
3. Macro should get the highlighted text, check if it is a valid date, error if not a valid date
