Crystal report doesnt work in client`s pc!

Hi! I have created my program in vb.net(visual studio 2008). However after making program I have created setup file of my program by using advance installer 7.7. As a result those crystal report files(CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll and CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework.dll and CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore.dll and CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.dll and CrystalDecisions.Shared.dll and CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms.dll) were automatically added there in my setup file. However when I install my program there in my client`s pc everything works fine but crystal report doesn't work. When I try to show reports there in reportviewer it shows me long error message which says

So would you please tell me how should I get rid of this problem? I have to solve this problem as early as possible else my client will be disappointed. Please help me.

your client computer needs a runtime framework for VS2008. That worked for me. I spend a whole day at this.. and it keeped giving this error. then I just installed this http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/runtime.asp#09 and it fixed everything

Sounds like you didn't installed Crystal Report runtime framework for VS 2008 on your application server. So install that.

Also me Simon in the past so that I made To Do list for deployment process & nowadays fine.
Reinstall Crystall Reports on client's PC. It worked for me.

Also check if .NET framework is installed on client's machine.

Hi.
I have the same problem.
I am using the CrystalReportsViewer.
In my vs2010 it is working fine.
But when i want to launch the viewer at a client, I get this error message (sry for the German language) :

I have installed the CrystalReports11_5_NET.msm.
The Setup-Project added all these CrystalReports - Dlls.

Based on the errors you got, it seems to be a mix of missing Crystal (you probably distributed the wrong version) and missing .NET version (the target machine does not seem to have .NET 4).

hmm yesterday, I have installed .net 4.
And today i have added the CrystalReports11_5_NET.msm to my setup project... Do You know which distrubtion I need?

Well your error message indicates 10.5. So perhaps that's what you need to distribute (you are currently distributing 11.5 apparently).

Okay, now i loading the Cr10 modules...
Is it possible to show reports in an other way?
(Not with the crystalreportViewer?)

But for other programms, I have the CrystalReports XI Client installed... Why do I need this additional modules?

It's possible that for this particular program/project someone incorrectly added a reference to the older Crystal version too. You could probably just change that project to use the same version as all the other projects and then you will not need the old version in your setup.

CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms V. 13.0.2000.0
...and so on...

I know it sound strange becose the client doesnt hava Visual Studio.. but this worked..

I have the same issue , my asp.net web application works on localhost,but does not work on web server 2008. any suggestions please .... urgent.. thanks in advance ....

what i have tried so far...

1) my web application made on 32-bit windows ...

2) i would like to deploy on 64-bit .... so i have installed 64 bit run time for crystal report 13.0.2000.0 .

3) my web application is working but the crystal report pages are empty ...

4)one more thing ... when i published my web folder i found the package folder doesnot have any .rpt file .

5)i have copied one of the .rpt file manually but still no sign for crystalreportviwer on web page ...
