Hello, This is Vikas Gohil.

We are planning to develop a software which we need to embed in an hardware device.
I have searched in google for Open source OS and found some information about Android OS.
But I still want to clear some points as follows :

1. Can Android be used for embedding on different hardware platforms other than Mobile Devices. If Yes, which hardware devices are compatible.
2. Does Android provide support for USB Communication, Serial Communication and LAN Communication with third party devices.
3. Which is the best open source web server that can be used with android and what programming language does it support.

If anyone has any information on the above points, any links would be greatly appreciated.
