Disk Drive Serial from RAID

Hi all,

Is it possible to retrieve disk's serial number which included to the physical RAIDX with using hardware controller?

Any ideas are welcome.

It shouldn't work for hardware RAID, because all hard disks appears as one or more virtual (raid) drives.
