When answering a question please:

Thanks Uwe, yes that is a great book. But it doesn't have anything about validation.

Just a short Amazon hint: The book Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture[^] by Martin Fowler was a valuable source for me.

Maybe it is helpful for your task, too.
