[XP, VS 2008, C#] The VS documentation on custom install actions has me more confused than I was before I knew it even existed! :mad:
I am installing a Windows service. During the installation process, I need to query the user for some information that has to be put in the service's exe.config file. I have a Form to get the info and put it in the file, but I can't uncover how to:
(1) Display the form at the right time (at the end of Commit), or
(2) Find out the path to the directory where the exe is being installed.
I've found lots of things that won't work, though.... :sigh:
Will someone please point me to some understandable instruction or give me some example code to learn from? Or both!
