What is the difference between response.redirect and server.transfer?i am able to use response.redirect to go to another page but not able to use server.transfer.

Solution 4

* Response.redirect is used to Navigate between the pages of same site & more than one site.
* Response.redirect itself not transfer the information from one page to another.
* It uses Querystring externally to navigate the information from one page another page.

* Here if you see while navigating to any page the Url is changed.

# Server.transfer is used to Navigate between the pages of same site only.

#* Server.transfer itself transfer the information from one page to another.

# It uses Querystring internally to navigate the information from one page to another with in the site.


# Here if you see while navigating to any page the Url is not changed.
