event receiver not triggering

I added a simple event receiver to prevent item deletion( Environment : Visual studio 2008 with WSP builder, Sharepoint 2007). When I add a ItemDeleting event, build and deploy ..activate the feature in Site features and all is successful. When I try deleting item in Document Library, nothing happens. What could be wrong ?

Not sure you phrased that as you intended, sounds like it's working like it should: "When I try deleting item in Document Library, nothing happens"

Please elaborate. What do you mean "nothing happens"? What do you expect to happen?
