How to access the camera through VC++? To retrieve the images from the camera,saving to it. It can be connected to the computer via cable or bluetooth like technologies??

It depends on what is provided by your camera. If you camera don't provide any feature no way out

I guess some directX components help you do this. there are some examples which displays the webcam. you need to download the DirectX SDK for that. its available in MSDN.

There are different camera interfaces and communication standards and different camera connections, such as USB, FireWire, GiGE and a lot more.

Solution 1

All the digital camers I know come with software to download the images to the PC. Even if you purchased a used camera you should be able to get that software from the manufacturer's web site.

If that is not what you want, what, exactly is your goal in writing your own program?
