I need a simple windows form that displays a graphic image. It should have a box to display progress messages from my VBScript as things happen. I also need to be able to terminate the form on command.

I can't find a way in VBScript to create such a screen, even though there are tons of Windows forms available.

I cannot use IE because my client doesn't use that browser, and has no Internet connection much of the time.

I think I can make this as a 'detached process' in PowerShell, but am not sure. Can anyone give me advice on how to proceed?

I found this piece of code[^] that might do the job.
