How to Get a CallerId(caller number) in my applcation

Hi All,

I have developed an (listener) application that uses internal modem for listening the telephone-Incoming calls. I am able to dial a number from my computer.
But When I call the number (that is connected to my pc modem) from my mobile it is displaying "Ring" "Ring" text.

I want to display the incoming number in some text box. I have used vb.net.

Connection Specification: I have used serial port related code.

When I connect to the normal land line which is having inbuilt caller id it is displaying the caller number. But when I connect(the cable) to my listener application it is displaying "Ring". Is this the problem with the telephone line provider?

Pls someone suggest me what to do.
