unable to clear cookies in browser field

my project involves loading content to a blackberry (5 nd above) browserfield. i have written codes to clear cookies. but it works well with the simulator but not in the device. when tried on simulator its clearing the cookies and browser history. but when i sign and run the application in torch device the cookies are not getting cleared.
please help me to overcome this issue...
