I have started an article on The Code Project and I did not upload any file at first, I just wanted to begin with the composition and add files and images during the edition. I looked all over the place and in the FAQ and I did not find a way to upload anything once an article is started.

Is there a way to do this? How?

Thanks.

I assume you are using the online submission wizard, but I'm working from memory here, so ...

You should be able to access your article and in the upper right there's a link to edit it. If you select that, I believe it goes back through the submission process, including allowing you to upload additional files.

You are right! We can also edit the article via the My Articles in the user menu, but the edit button does not start over for the file upload, unlike the edit button you specified.

That's odd. I just checked on my articles and it does go through everything. Perhaps that's only after you've submitted it or have enough reputation points?

Solution 2

It is a much better idea to create your article offline and not post it until it is complete; that way you are less likely to get into situations such as you describe. However, if you post your question in the Article Writing[^] forum, one of the site administrators will help you.

Yes, that's what I recommend, also.
