If you are specifically looking for adding the favicon in asp.net site refer this link: FAVICON Asp.Net[^]

<link runat="server" rel="shortcut icon" href="~/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<link runat="server" rel="icon" href="~/favicon.ico" type="image/ico" />

Adding both these tags would help work in both IE and FF.

Solution 1

See here: How to Add a Favicon to your Site[^]

Next time, try doing at least basic research yourself - that link was number 5 on a google search for favicon[^]
