Actually I am an ASP.NET(C#) developer I have knowledge in sql server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Jquery. One of my friend from HR management suggested me to learn Sharepoint for my bright future. Is that good to learn Sharepoint or is there any other good technology to learn other than sharepoint?..If my friend's suggestion was right what are all the fundamentals I should know before learning Sharepoint..

Since my friend is from HR department I need suggestions from technical friends. So friends please help me out with this doubt.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

Since you have a background in above mention, I think it is easy for you to adopt Sharepoint. I had been attended some training for Sharepoint 2007 and is good...
Advise you to take the latest product of Microsoft.

I know what sharepoint is.I just want to know weather clients are satisfied with sharepoint and client usage of sharepoint is increased or decreased .Is there any other CMS which has some additional functionality than sharepoint So than i may focus on that CMS.
