USB mass storage - the number of luns.

Hi all.
I have some USB mass storage device, like a usb flash drive. My device supports some SCSI requests, such as write, read, inquiry, etc.
When device receive a special command, it can add or remove additional lun.
I have 2 questions:
1. How do I know the number of luns on my device?
2. How can I force the Windows send a request to device and recieve the number of luns(and update system's information about my device)?
If you know answers to my questions, which do not include using third-party products, such as WinUSB etc. , it would be great!
