Hello!

Somebody posted an apparent spam message in my article:
http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4121361/In-Christmas-comes-in-order-to-thank-everyone-char.aspx[^]

How do I remove it or report it to administration of CodeProject?

Thank You!

There are few different things to follow. You can mark some post as spam (please see the read flag icon), you can mark a person as a spammer (if you are sure it's spam please always do it, you need to go in person's ID to get to the personal profile page, also look for a red flag) and you can do "vote to remove" as Mark suggested.

Now — attention! — a new feature: there is new special message board we use to report spam and abuse:
http://www.codeproject.com/Forums/1652005/Spam-Watch.aspx[^].

To get there from any page, you need to do the following: [Main Menu] => "Help" => "Bugs and Suggestions" => http://www.codeproject.com/Forums/1645/Site-Bugs-Suggestions.aspx[^]; on this page, locate "Spam and abuse watch forum" about the top of the page.

Still don't see 'red flag' or 'vote to remove'. I guess my reputation is to low... However 'Spam Watch' forum should be good enough to (hopefully) resolve it! As for flagging this person as a spammer, can't do as it says that his profile is no longer active. So i just need that message to be removed, thats all. Thanks for the tip!

It depends on type of post, not sure about reputation points. Also, makes sure the page is fully loaded and JavaScript enabled. Spam watch forum is supervised by team members who do good job of taking action very quickly on anything like spam; if you report on member account, it is also deactivated (in case of spam; in case of other kinds of abuse most members deserve a chance to correct themselves, don't they?).

My post is of type 'Article'. It is my first article, so not sure how many things work here, on CodeProject)) I posted a message on Spam Watch forum, so I hope someone will help me soon enough!
Also on the forum I saw multiple reports about same message appearing on other people's articles, so it is no just me!
As fo 'red flag' or 'vote to remove', i tried it in all browsers, and finally in IE with no any plugins installed. Still don't see them... May be it's just a bad day for me :P

Can I have a reference to your article and to the post in question?

I'm using Mozilla (Seamonkey) browser, it works with all features of CodeProject.
Multiple reports on the same item of abuse are quite natural and are just fine...

You can always send an email to the webmaster here or post to the bugs and suggestion forum. There is a link "vote to remove" on the post.

Mark, there is more to it.

You also should know there is a new forum for spam/abuse watch we use to report such cases. Please see my answer on how to locate it.
