I am developing a project on "Development of a Simple FE solver" which can solve FE analysis for 1D and 2D elements. The type of analysis will be restricted to certain categories only as its a small scale work. For that i require a platform in which user can enter the basic shape in form of drawing or by defining coordinates. I came to know that for defining the shape by Drawing, OpenGL is useful but i dont know how i can associate to with my work.
Also doing the above defined work, which one of the Visual Basic and Visual C++ will be more better?

Thanks in advance.
Sanchit Parmar.
