I am working on one query with was gifted to me to work on has 3 group by and one function. THis query takse more than 15 minutes and end user can't wait that long
I already have done several thing includes:
(1) Performance Tunning,
(2) Rewrite Index(Clustered and nonclustered)

We can't answer that base on the information you supply.
We would need to see the query to stand a chance of answering! Think about it: which of the cars parked outside the building is mine? It's got a six in the registration!

Use Sqlprofiler , Database tuning Advisor and use Unique index

is better way to increase performance.
