hi guys,

really dig the website. i am looking to connect with developers here in south africa. is there any way to find profiles for codeproject members who reside here in south africa.

Seems you can extract the names from the google search with this library. So I though it would be usful fo rthe OP. Less work for him I mean.

I don't think it will practically help or it could be less work in this particular simple and ad-hoc case, but my 5 for the idea.

Solution 1

Difficult. As of now, search via geographic location is not available in CP.

For now, maximum possible is to post in Lounge[^] and people who reside there and want to connect with you would reply.

UPDATE:
Difficult from this very website, but possible via Google (as suggested in answer 2)

I agree. I guess it's just that I didn't thought of it. I was not sure (didn't even occur) that posting keywords in Google could give us the result... (probably underestimated the depth to which CP is searchable by Google!)

My answer was from CP prospective. The very site approach.

Good point: the depth and so high responsiveness of Google to CP changes is not obvious. I noticed that: you see a most recent question, do the search on Google on OP's keywords, and often, the first found link is... the same very question at CP.
