When I click on a hyperlink in a message it opens a dialog showing my computer folders (defaulting to My Documents). I don’t want to save it.

How can I get it to open the website instead?

Without knowing the content of your hyperlink, we can't answer.
Use the "Improve question" widget to edit your question and provide better information.

The answer would depend on the type of document that the hyperlink points to. You will need to write specific HTTTPHandler for that type of document if you need to show it in the website. Check if there is some default or resalable handler available for that file type that you can use.

if it is a .doc file then perhaps these links will help too
