H guys,

I have a question, that how can we change the framework 2.0(V.S 2005) to framework 4.0(V.S 2010), is it possible? if yes, then how? whats the process available for that and if not, so what can i do to migrate it, either i will buy any software or tool for that or is there any solution for this kindly reply me as soon as possible.

Solution 1

If you open your project in VS2010, it will try to convert it and tell you of any issues. Usually it just works fine. If not, edit your code to fix it.

So the library is missing. Or it's incompatible ?

It's a CP article, so convert/add the source code to your project and import it from there.

So, convert it, too.

is any tool available in the market that can convert .net 2.0 to .net 4.0?

Visual studio does it, no other tool is needed. you just need to work out how to update this control.

Well, i had read i think more than 15 forums now, i didn`t try it yet but it seems like every one is saying when you convert it through VS 2010 there would be some errors or library or some thing else. i just wanna ask what type of error would occur? and how can we solve it?
