Excel in Edit mode locks the custom task pane.

Hi Everyone,

I'm building an add-in for excel that improves overall navigation. It gives the users an alternative navigation tool using a custom task pane.

Problem: When editing a cell, after entering edit mode, the custom task pane is not accessible anymore, it is locked. So if I wanted to perform some operation on custom task pane I can't go there using the controls on the custom task pane.

Is there any way I can override that behaviour and make my task pane available in edit mode as well?
